Petition  Hamtaro: Bring Our Hamster Friend Back!   To Shopro Entertainment, VIZ media, The Ocean Group, etc Does anybody remember that cute, golden hamster called Hamtaro? The way he would go on adventures with the Ham-Hams, get into trouble, and enlighten our hearts with his blissful ignorance? For almost four years now, Hamtaro fans have been fighting for the return of the series, dubbed in English. For reasons unknown to fans, ShoPro Entertainment halted the production of the dub at episode 104. A rumor has spread that the reason for this was that in later episodes, the Ham-Hams discover a magical candy land, and are able to use magic. This was deemed insane by the company, which ended Hamtaro forever. Another possible reason for this was popularity issues. Apparently, not enough money was being made with Hamtaro, so producers prefered to cancel it completely. I'm sorry, but two years obviously wasn't enough to make the show soar to popularity. But still, many, many people still cling to a small hope that Hamtaro may resurface one day. There are too many cartoons being produced these days that aren't worth anybody's time. Most of these revolve around stupid humor, slapstick comedy and fart jokes. Is this REALLY what our society has evolved into? Do people actually find this stuff funny? Kids aren't the only ones begging for Hamtaro, I'm sure that many parents loved the series as well. After all, it's age appropriate, believeable, has good morals, and doesn't fall into the unfortunate category of idiotic programs. In making this petition, I hope to prove that Hamtaro still has a fanbase (and a determined one at that!), and that reviving the series is the right way to go.
